Our financial client in Boston is looking for a long term SQL DBA contractor to work within their team.
In person interviews required in Boston.

Required Skills:
·         Experience supporting (monitoring, maintaining, designing, implementing) our SQL Server environments (Production, QA, Test) – Basic DBA responsibilities
·         Ensuring Backup/restore integrity and abilities
·         Designing/maintaining new and existing database solutions/objects (databases, stored procedures, etc.)
·         Design, architecture and implementation of the physical and logical database from a hardware (server, SAN, storage etc.) and software (table/file partitioning etc.)  perspective
·         Maintaining connections and links to our Oracle environments (linked servers)

Desktop Support Analyst - Boston, MA

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware and basic network connectivity problems and provide resolution to end users in a timely manner to ensure that the systems run smoothly.
  • Respond to user queries in person and over the phone.
  • Manage all aspects of desktop environment including the antivirus system, system roll out processes, desktop application maintenance, patching, licenses etc.

The Manager of Quality Assurance plays a key role in the IT department by overseeing and managing all quality assurance efforts to ensure quality of product for all software-based solutions in our operating environment. The Manager of QA will design and implement quantitative quality assurance framework based on leading industry practices. The Group Manager, Business Systems Analysis - Operations is responsible for directing a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) on technology initiatives that support the Investment Operational functions.

Lead Java Software Developer - Contract to Potential Perm

Lead Software Developer
6 month contract to start - potentially a conversion to permanent after.


- This is a leadership position with a significant hands-on coding component. The proper candidate will be required to significantly contribute to development efforts as well as manage a team of onshore/offshore development with a hybrid Scrum process.


Primary Responsibilities
- Lead onshore/offshore development resources in the agile process. Lead daily scrums and manage sprints.

- Lead by example through significant, high-quality code contributions to the project

- Conduct code reviews.

- Coach and direct development team resources.

- Provide constant feedback on development resources to our off-shore partners

- Contribute to the establishment of and ensure proper usage of the processes in the SDLC

- Participate in the team selection process (interviewing)

- Monitor critical project metrics (i.e. test coverage etc.)

- Drive project success by fostering teamwork and collaboration across project managers, analysts and both on-shore and off-shore developers.
