Senior Project Manager - Fixed Income - Derivatives

Responsible for the development, delivery and technical support of technical solutions for the Fixed Income Rates business. The Fixed Income Rates business will offer its clients a wide range of fixed income derivatives products which will require the use of derivatives, fixed income, currency instruments. As part of the launch of the business, client requires an experienced Project Manager with extensive knowledge in Derivatives and Fixed Income end-to-end trade processing. This person will be responsible for performing and managing all Fixed Income project management and business analysis coordinating closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Business Units team members for a successful implementation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Project management of technical implementation / technology workstreams associated with the delivery of functionality required to support the end user.
• Prepares Project Execution Documentation adhering to client model
• Can independently plan, organize and control the activities of multiple, large-scale, cross-functional project teams
• Oversees management and control of project scope
• Oversee the management of project staffing and works closely with Application Manager to ensure adequate staffing during project lifecycle
• Oversees the management of overall project communications, risks, and issues resolution
• Oversee the management of an project budget, project tracking and reporting,
and delivery
• Defines and oversees communication with sponsors and management concerning project strategy, status, and issues

Fixed Income Business Analyst

Full time permanent position in Boston
Client is a Global Investment firm headquartered in Boston

Business analyst experienced in trade processing, with sound knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives, is required to work within the technology department to perform detailed analysis of requirements, liaise with the Derivatives and Fixed Income business groups and external parties. The candidate will demonstrate experience in working with the front, middle and back office to define detailed requirements and working alongside the technical resources to build technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be able to discuss business requirements in detail exhibiting a good understanding of financial products and business controls. The BA will own the relationship with the users. This will include front office (trading and sales), market and credit risk, middle office, operations and other external third party system owners. The candidate will be equally at ease discussing business and technical issues, and will be able to lead solution discovery.

• Clear, complete and accurate documentation of user requirements and functional specifications

• Running workshops to explain and walk through business requirements

• Definition and delivery of a test strategy, test plans and test scripts.

• Execute system functional testing.

• UAT support.

• Problem solving and responsibility for issue resolution.

• Training users and post production support staff.

• Working with Middle Office and Back Office systems owners in defining Middle Office and Back Office systems requirements.

• Defining system interface requirements to other external systems.

• Potentially liaising with external resources to determine business requirements

• Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent.

• Min 5 years Business analysis

• Business analysis skill set with extreme attention to detail and problem solving abilities.

• Excellent functional testing capabilities

• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of trade capture, pricing, risk management and end to end process flows of the relevant products (i.e., bonds, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, basis swaps, interest rate futures. Strong understanding of derivatives accounting a plus

• Basic knowledge of SQL a plus

SQL Server DBA

SQL DBA - Boston, MA
Full time position


Required Skills:
Candidate must have extensive experience in SQL Server 2000/2005 database administration. Experience with Oracle 10 (RAC) is a plus. UNIX shell scripting knowledge is required. Those experienced/exposed to Sybase are preferred.


PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
Design, configure, implement and monitor company databases. Address technical issues surrounding all aspects of database performance and integrity.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audit database security, software patches and upgrades.

Serve as a senior DBA support for mission critical and problematic databases

Monitor and Resolve database performance problems as they arise.

Develop custom database solutions for business requirements.

Develops flexible, non-restrictive standards for all database platforms.

Review backup processes and schedules and make adjustments as necessary, execute backups and restore as appropriate.

Run integrity checks on all databases regularly raising any issues with the Manager.

Review database security, maintain and enhance as necessary, including add/delete users as necessary.

Document procedures and problem resolutions.

Optimize and tune for maximum performance.



Skills/Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005 Cluster

Experience with Oracle 10RAC database administration

Expert knowledge of Data Modeling experience

Good understanding of Unix/Linux/windows operation systems, storage raw device and file systems

Skilled in UNIX shell script

MS SQL Server 2005 upgrade experience is plus

Senior QA Manager

Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or related area. Minimum 8+ years of QA or related experience.

· Must have "hands-on" expertise and domain experiences in testing lifecycle for enterprise system design and implementation - Unix/Linux/Windows.

Responsibilities:
