Position Summary:
The Systems Engineer will share responsibilities in a variety of technological areas centered on configuration and administration of clustered Windows 2003 based servers as well as EMC NAS storage devices and their associated application components. The Senior Business Analyst will facilitate and implement Investment Systems projects and initiatives for the Investment Business users. The Senior Database Administrator will be part of the Infrastructure Team in the Information Technology department. Under the guidance of the Infrastructure Manager you will operate and maintain global worldwide database infrastructure.
Based in Boston, this position will require some domestic and international travel. This is a full time position. Occasional night and weekend hours are required for scheduled system maintenance and upgrades.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all production SQL Servers.
Provides database server hardware recommendations, design and implementation.
Document, Implement and Enforce Database Security Methodology across Production

Ensures that all SQL Server database designs adhere to industry best practices.
Acts as technical leader and resource to team members and company personnel.
Works with IT Security Personnel to develop and implement security policies affecting SQL Server databases.
Configures and maintains database server and object level security and permissions.
Develops, maintains, and executes documentation, policies, and procedures.
Complies with company's change management control process.
TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:
• SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL, DTS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, OLTP, OLAP, SMO, .NET
• MCDBA/MCITP Certification a plus
• Experience with database server hardware design and implementation.

Operations and Desktop Manager

The Operations and Desktop team is responsible for monitoring critical operations tasks / data feeds and for providing all levels of support for our desktop and laptop community. The team consists of approximately 12 technology professionals whose key functions include IT Operations, data feed management and monitoring, Help Desk and application deployment.
Overview:
Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, the Operations & Desktop support manager provides global support and leadership for formulating, evaluating, and implementing desktop related technology solutions, policies, SLAs and initiatives that improve the quality and effectiveness of client’s user community and efficiency of its business operations
Primary Responsibilities:
· Management of L1 / L2 support services which include Service desk, desk side support, IT Operations teams and data feed management
· Work with Investment Systems, Client Systems and Research Systems application development teams and the Quality Assurance team to identify requirements to be translated into Service Level Agreements(SLA)
· Institute and manage teams in meeting business SLAs
· Management of the IT Operations team for 7x24 operations and technical support
