·Manage staff of 2 of small IT department
o Oversee daily duties, schedules, and responsibilities
o Performance reviews
o Overall responsibility of all:
·End-user support including workstations, printers, mobile phones, help desk, etc.
·Network and infrastructure including switches, routers, servers, firewalls, email, and so on
·All business applications, backend databases, reporting, etc.
·Compliance: Sarbanes Oxley, Mass Data Security, legal, etc.
·Regular management decisions regarding departmental and technical matters and issues
·Interface with employees at all levels, primarily with department heads and management
·Report to executive management and the IT Steering Committee and represent the IT department as a whole
·Oversee all tactical IT projects
o Develop and manage project plans, timelines, etc.
o Report on project progress
·Active participation and administration of network and infrastructure with senior level experience in any 3 or more of the following major required areas (in priority order); any additional a plus:
o Virtualization and Storage: VMWare, EqualLogic, NetApp, etc.
o Microsoft based Communications and/or Collaboration: Exchange 2010, Office Communications Server, SharePoint 2010
o Microsoft based Platforms: Windows 2008, Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, print and file services, SQL, AD RMS, IIS
o Backup and disaster recovery systems: Backup Exec, VSS, VMWare HA & SRM, datacenters
o Security: IPS, Trend Micro A/V, Trend Micro DLP, firewalls, Barracuda SPAM
o Networking: switches, routers, firewalls, LANs, WANs (Dell, Cisco, SonicWALL)
o Other: Citrix XenApp, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Polycom Video Conferencing, OCR,

Business Analyst with Fixed Income and Derivatives
Full time - permanent
Location: Boston, MA
Business analyst experienced in trade processing, with sound knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives, is required to work within the technology department to perform detailed analysis of requirements, liaise with the Derivatives and Fixed Income business groups and external parties. The candidate will demonstrate experience in working with the front, middle and back office to define detailed requirements and working alongside the technical resources to build technical solutions.
The successful candidate will be able to discuss business requirements in detail exhibiting a good understanding of financial products and business controls. The BA will own the relationship with the users. This will include front office (trading and sales), market and credit risk, middle office, operations and other external third party system owners. The candidate will be equally at ease discussing business and technical issues, and will be able to lead solution discovery.
• Directs efforts cross-functionally and uses good understanding of business systems, financial industry, and system development lifecycle methodology(ies) to support complex projects through their life cycle, with the emphasis on the analysis stage
• Directs the gathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings, interviewing users, and researching and resolving issues.
• Makes judgments on gathered analysis information, using flowcharting and other methodologies. May be consulted in the analysis of user interface design efforts.
• Leads the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes; consults as subject matter expert on impact of systems changes to business processes.
• Leads and reviews draft detailed requirements and related documentation.
• Serves as advocate for business area regarding system needs and requests with various groups.
• Monitors project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation.
• Demonstrates understanding of the impact of problems on the organization as a whole, and facilitate collaboration to achieve resolutions.
• Use a broad array of communication tools to inform, persuade, influence, direct and facilitate communication within project teams and between Business and Technical teams.
• Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
• In addition to users, communicates with developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
• Acts as a liaison between users, developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
• May direct special projects, e.g., conducting research, collecting and providing requested data, etc.
• Model and analyze business processes and assist the business in identifying ways to maximize operational efficiencies, quality and compliance.
• Identify compile, analyze and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs.
Qualifications • Candidate must have extensive working knowledge of Summit, Calypso, Murex, Front Areana or other industry leading software solution for Fixed Income derivatives trading and processing.
• Candidates with derivatives (Swaps, Libor Basis products, Options on Futures, Government Securities, Repos and Currency Forwards) experiences will be given special consideration.
• Candidates with working knowledge of Summit FT, Wall Street, and Fenics systems would be considered over other candidates • Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent. MBA or CFA a plus
• At least 8+ years of related professional financial services and project management experience
• MS Office Products
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
