Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Investment Control Systems, the Investment Systems Developer will be responsible for the development, integration, and support of a suite of vendor and proprietary applications for Investment Control systems such as Risk/Exposure, Reconciliation and Compliance. This individual will be responsible for working with the business community to create business system solutions and perform configuration in support of user requirements. The Developer will also be responsible for ensuring that business applications are aligned to company strategic IT and operational vision.
Mandatory requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in technology discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in an IT organization
• 3-5 years software development experience preferably with .NET
• 3+ years experience in relational databases preferably MS SQL Server
• 3+ years experience in the financial services industry
Skills:
• 5+ years of IT related experience in the investment/securities industry. Specific experience in working with asset management investment control systems would be a plus.
• Led and/or participated in successful medium and large IT projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server.

• Work as part of a team of in-house staff and outside consultants to implement the required changes
• Work extensively with business analysts and investment professionals to analyze business problems, assess how they impact development and design, and recommend IT solutions.
• Support daily activity of the investment control systems areas by creating and maintaining custom reports and programs and by providing technical support for system and software issues.
