Portfolio - Fund Accounting consultant

Financial client in Waltham, MA
Contract position

Candidates must be able to pass a background check including financial (no bankruptcy or bad debt), criminal, employment and education.


3-6 month contracts

Our client is looking for an Accounting expert, ideally in the fund accounting area. This consultant will be reconciling accounts and cleaning up transactions. (Security Master cleanup, data maintenance, downloading data and loading up data into Product Master, creating spreadsheet tools to help spot data discrepancies and cleanup, etc). The candidate should have experience working with a product master; researching classifications by utilizing systems such as Factset, Bloomberg, Morningstar, or Thompson. Beginner SQL skills (basic query functions) is a plus

POSITION SUMMARY

The Mid –Level Developer will be a member of the software development team. This position will help design and program web based business applications using ASP. Net and C#.

Java contract

Java contract 6-12 months
Downtown Boston location

Candidate must come from an Agile development environment.

Our client is looking for a developer with solid Java Enterprise experience in multiple tier development environments. The person in this position will need to contribute to decisions regarding which frameworks will be utilized and will then participate in a very collaborative development environment that includes lots of peer code review. This is a very dynamic and innovative team and so the successful candidate will not only have solid technical skills and knowledge but will also need to be very creative in their approach and thought process. Client is currently on the Java EE 6 Platform so experience with this is highly desirable. Business domain knowledge in the Financial Services space would be a plus but not mandatory for this position.
