Responsibilities:

• Propose and design technical solutions and enhance existing components
• Communicate with the business users
• Produce effective technical documentation
• 8+ years of .NET experience, including working with .NET 3.0 or above
• Strong object-oriented design and patterns in .NET
• Familiarity with distributed enterprise applications
• Experience with automated unit testing
• At least 3 years of database proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2008

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree a must
• Knowledge of 3rd party software and controls for .NET
• Java Experience
• Lecturing or Teaching Experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational expertise, and attention to detail
• Experience in the financial services sector preferred

Jr SQL DBA - Boston, MA

An established database team in Boston is looking for 2 junior DBAs who have 1-3 years of DBA experience with SQL server.  This is a great opportunity to get in to an organization and learn from senior DBAs while working on a large and complex environment.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Candidate must be determined and eager to expand technical knowledge and experience.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server internals such as file structure, clustered vs. non-clustered index, and table partitioning.
• 1-2 troubleshooting T-SQL performance issues
• Experience tuning SQL Servers
