Senior Financial .NET Software Engineer

Client: $170 billion asset management firm in Back Bay area of Boston.

Using discretion and judgment assist in the development and enhancement of the systems needs of various investment applications focusing primarily on Equity Trading.

* Design, support and implement desktop, web and mobile platform tools that assist equity traders, portfolio managers and analysts with investment decisions.
* Work as part of a team to build critical software systems primarily using Microsoft .Net technologies.
* Implement technological solutions to enhance the efficiency of the Equity and Global Investment Technology departments.
* Evaluate and install development tools and software packages related to Equity Research systems environment.
* Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements:

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent coursework.
* Experience developing in the Microsoft .Net environment, preferably with C#.
* General knowledge and understanding of the Equity Trading and Research Systems, specific knowledge of core OMS/EMS applications a definite plus.
* Strong relational database background, preferably in Sybase, Oracle or MSSQL.
* Knowledge of multi-tier SOA architectures utilizing web services, window services and communication frameworks such as WCF.
* Strong written and oral communication skills and help desk or front line support experience a must.
* Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
