Security Operations Engineer - Boston, MA

This role is part of a new Emerging Technologies team that will be the Incubator of Talent and Technology for the organization Enterprise wide.



Provide leadership and support for the Security Operations center. Requires a high-level unique and diverse set of skills, which include; problem solving, solid verbal and written communication, excellent relationship building experience, strong leadership and proven team management. The selected candidate will have demonstrated the ability to foster a rich and satisfying employment environment that encourages professional growth to all team members. The individual will promote good work habits by personally modeling a high professional standard and integrity.



-Provide leadership and direction for all Security Operations Center efforts.
-Provides oversight to ensure quality and consistency of all deliverables
-Serves as a leader of project teams in a cross-functional environment.
-Functions as a recognized expert to other IT groups on Security Operations Center and incident response related matters.
-Provides development guidance and assists in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of organization information security policies and procedures in coordination with organization management and administration
-Works with organization senior management to establish an organization-wide global Oversight of security operations.
-Performs initial and periodic security assessments for incidents and conducts related ongoing investigative activities in coordination with the other corporate functions.


Job Responsibilities & Requirements

-Solid background in Security Engineering & Operations.
-Solid background in Incident Response
-Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people
-Knowledge of IT Operations and risk assessment procedures
-Ability to consultant as a recognized technical expert on incident response and data leakage control topics to other IT groups
-Proven ability to work under pressure
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Excellent oral and written communications skills
-Solid project management skills, especially in a cross-functional environment

Experience:
-8+ years of Information Security or Operations Center related experience.
-8+ years of experience in IT, with a broad range of exposure to business planning, systems analysis and application development.
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred.
-GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) designation preferred.
-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation preferred.
-Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) designation desired.
