FAST Search Administrator - Perm in Boston, MA

Full time, permanent position in Boston

Must have current experience with FAST Search Server for Internet Sites and/or FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint including experience with content ingestion and indexing, query and result processing, performance tuning, relevancy tuning, and application stability consulting/troubleshooting.


Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access, and backup for enterprise wide systems. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoot system issues, resolve or recommend solutions. Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. Create patches and updates as needed. Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot operating systems. The successful candidate will work with our infrastructure team, developers, and systems administrators, within a project and program management environment.

Required:
-Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and networking hardware and software.

-3-5 years of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is required.

-The candidate must have current experience with FAST Search Server for Internet Sites and/or FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint including experience with content ingestion and indexing, query and result processing, performance tuning, relevancy tuning, and application stability consulting/troubleshooting.

-The candidate must have experience designing search systems based upon specific client requirements
