Understand and deliver on the infrastructure development process, including installs/builds, configuration, and administration for servers
Lead the operations of the infrastructure solution architecture for SharePoint/SQL and ensure delivered components are in compliance with the defined architecture
Proficient in the day-to-day operations of SharePoint and SQL which includes troubleshooting, optimization, capacity planning, etc
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of SharePoint systems/applications in development and production environments. Other responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of architectural and procedural documentation.

-Document configuration, migration, testing, deployment solutions
-Has technical solution, customer-interfacing and infrastructure project lifecycle responsibilities in a customer-facing IT role.
Troubleshoots problems across organizational and functional boundaries. Creates and maintains operational standards and processes. Resolves daily Tier 2 infrastructure incidents based upon agreed service levels. Educates team on procedures for troubleshooting and service resolution. Works with 3rd party vendors to implement, maintain and troubleshoot various SharePoint components. Maintains and repairs various SharePoint elements.
-Tests, installs and implements configurations for SharePoint components. Configures SharePoint solutions that comply with established networks, data center requirements and policies. Participates in infrastructure designs, including application platforms, database solutions, data integration and migration, backup and recovery, and business continuity solutions.
-Creates and maintains SharePoint documentation, including technical specifications, disaster recovery plans, and Architectural drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Server 2003+ administration and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint web farms topologies including Central Administration, Web Front Ends (WFEs), Shared Service Providers (SSPs), SQL 2005+, and other SharePoint-centric application servers and services.
- Supporting the design and deployment of enterprise wide SharePoint 2007/2010 implementations and customizations, to include permissions, lists, libraries, Wiki, and other platform offerings.
- Administering SharePoint 2007/2010 to include installing and configuring large server farm topology (physical and virtual), applying patches, service packs, and infrastructure updates.
- Creating, configuring, and maintaining Shared Service Providers to enable and enhance site search functionality including adding and configuring custom properties to documents so that they may be searched.
- Supporting developers in the deployment of SharePoint related features and solutions (i.e. custom web parts) across multiple farms and environments, including working knowledge of SharePoint Solution Package (WSP) creation.
