OMS Implementation Specialist

Downtown Boston financial client is looking for a long term contractor to assist in a Linedata implementation. Candidates with experience implementing ANY OMS will be considered.

Department Profile:

The Research Systems Group provides development and support to various Investment Divisions in all areas of the investment process, including research, portfolio construction and optimization, pre and post trade analytics, trading, middle and back office.

Position Overview:

Client is looking to fill a contract position for an Implementation Specialist. The ideal person will have hands-on experience with implementing Order Management Systems, experience working on Equity Trading and Compliance projects, an understanding of project management, and a good mix of business knowledge and technology skills. The ideal person will report to the project manager and share responsibility for various aspects of the implementation. The ideal person will help define requirements, configure the application, train users, test workflows and resolve any issues before go live. The person will work closely with the project manager, highlighting issues, scope changes, and progress against the budget and schedule. The expected contact duration is six months.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Required: Prior principal experience implementing investment management software, preferably order management systems. Ideally, several prior engagements.
• An understanding of project management, timelines, scope, and budgets.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong trouble-shooting skills
• A good understanding of SQL and relational databases
• An understanding of .NET development and n-tier architected systems on Windows Servers
• LineData LVTS, Charles River, LatentZero or similar a plus.
