SQL Architect

Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining the data architecture for Client Services
Keeping current with the latest development methodologies and acting as a mentor to the rest of the team
Designing solutions in accordance with the enterprise architecture and shepherding to completion
Documenting solutions with industry standard tools
Working closely with users, architects and developers as part of an integrated team
Working collaboratively within the architecture group to ensure both quality and delivery are managed excellently
Actively watching industry trends and acting as a highly competent advisor to technical management
Data analysis and modeling across different problem sets of Data Warehousing and OLTP
Ensuring the quality of artifacts produced is in accordance with architecture standards
Taking responsibility for provisioning the optimal data architecture for an application portfolio
Accurately estimating work and reporting progress

Position Requirements:

We are looking for a person who:

Has 5+ years professional experience in data architecture and integration of vendor products in an enterprise setting
Possesses strong technical skills in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Data Integration, Data Warehousing and Database design
Has strong communication skills with the ability to effectively express complex technical concepts
Has the ability to express design ideas in recognized methodologies
Has the ability to work both in teams and independently
Possesses strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Is able to anticipate potential problems and determine and implement solutions as needed
Is a quick learner - able to come up to speed on new and emerging technologies rapidly
Is flexible - able to work on varied technologies and switch between one environment and another in an efficient manner
Can multi-task and react positively to frequent changes in priorities
Has excellent project organization and time management skills and exceptional attention to detail
