Java Software Engineer - Financial Systems

Description

We are looking for smart, motivated, software engineers with 5-9 years experience willing to take on the startup philosophy of doing whatever it takes to consistently build and deliver quality software.

Our software engineers are integral to the growth and success of the company. This position is a combination of software development and customer support. It requires the ability to take on independent projects, work with others on various levels, and support your software through customer phone interactions. Candidates must be comfortable working on simultaneous tasks in a fluid and dynamic environment, where they will encounter intellectual and exciting challenges.

Minimum Requirements:
• Coded in Java & Web/LAMP Technologies

Desired skills:
• JBOSS, Tomcat, MySQL, Linux
• Hibernate, EJB3, SEAM, RichFaces, JavaScript, VBScript, CSS, HTML
• JSP, AJAX, Web Services, XML
• Java programming [C++ possible]
• Database skills (SQL, JDBC, ODBC)
• Application debugging
• Understand distributed applications
• Multi-Threaded application development
• Strong analytical skill

In addition to the skill sets above, any combination of the following is a plus:
• Omgeo CTM
• OASYS
• Thompson Omgeo post trade suite
• DTCC systems and interfaces
• CNS
• Other clearing systems & interfaces
(ADP, Broadridge, Merrill PRO, Merrill Broadcourt, ConvergeX, Pershing, Penson)
• Working knowledge of trade allocation/booking process
•SWIFT messaging
• FIX messaging
