Long term contract with potential contract to hire
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to create innovative solutions for our investment divisions. You will provide development and support in all areas of the investment process, including research, portfolio construction and optimization, pre and post trade analytics, trading, middle and back office. You will be working with data and research departments, implementing a wide variety of applications, from research and portfolio analysis to trade resolution.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with business users, research analysts, portfolio managers and traders to identify areas where technology could be leveraged to enhance the investment process and achieve superior results
Propose and design technical solutions
Implement applications based on the solutions proposed and work closely with users to test and integrate the applications into the current production environment
Support the applications developed
Skills:
College degree required
Minimum 7-10 years experience developing Windows applications in C#
Experience as architect or lead developer for Windows applications
Strong WinForms
WP, WCF, WPF are also keys
Minimum 2 years experience with database development for Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services or Analysis Services
Minimum 2 years experience developing applications in Java or Matlab are a plus
Self-starter, able to work as part of a small team as well as independently, with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple tasks
Mathematics or other analytical background would be a plus
Working on asset allocation, risk analytics, quantitative or hedge applications are plus’s
Experience with Gemfire would be a plus
