Full time position at financial firm in Boston
The Systems Administrator supports the company's Windows & UNIX server hardware, operating systems and software including trading systems, and other applications. In addition, the Systems Administrator will participate in technology planning for Windows & UNIX server infrastructure initiatives, deploys and maintains technical infrastructure including servers, storage systems, & SQL databases. Provide user support for 3rd level Help Desk issue escalations.
Administrative responsibilities include documentation of configurations, operating procedures, technology standards, and inventory records for hardware and software. Experience should be more heavily weighted on Windows than Solaris.
Environment: Windows 2003 & 2008 servers including Active Directory, Exchange 2007, Solaris 8 & 10, General WAN/LAN Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Server Storage including iSCSI initiators and SAN fabric HBAs, VM Ware ESX, Citrix Presentation Server, MSSQL & Sybase, Trading Applications (Bloomberg, Reuters etc), Back Office, Legal, and Accounting Applications.
