Project Consultant - BA / Developer

3 month contract in Boston
Financial services firm - background check required


Responsibilities:
• Business analysis and requirements gathering around custom solutions
• Create design specifications and do cost estimates for these solutions
• Prepare Proposals / SOW documenting requirements, solution proposed and associated scope
• Develop/code solutions (enhancements, applications or interfaces)
• Test custom developed solutions, document installation instructions and manage releases to clients.

Technical Qualifications:
• BA/BS. Advanced degree is a plus.
• At least 2 years experience in SQL Server 2005, SQL, C# or VB.Net
• Experience/ desire to work in a technical environment with a client-facing focus
• Advanced analysis and problem solving skills
• Experience in Sybase 12.5 and Oracle are a plus

Other Skills
• Clear and confident verbal/written communication and client engagement skills
• Ability to interact with internal and external clients for requirements gathering and support
• Basic Project Management skills
• Financial Services Industry knowledge a big plus
• Willingness to travel to client sites to interview client stake holders like PMs and Traders.

Some projects may present the need for travel (approximately <20% of time)
