RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Management and implementation of database models, data flow diagrams, database schemas, stored procedures and data standards to support a robust data management infrastructure.

· Assist in the database release management process, be the “gate-keeper” and ensure only QUALITY code is released into production.

· Help troubleshoot performance problems using a variety of methods (tracing, query optimization review, error logs, etc).

· Resolve blocking and deadlocking issues, high CPU / memory, analyze job timeouts, ETL loader performance problems.

· Manage database maintenance jobs to ensure optimal performance and data availability.

· Define and enforce database standards, best practices, methodologies, processes and procedures

· Architect and implement reports within SSRS 2005/2008.

Job Description
The systems director will have the responsibility for supporting all existing and new applications and projects that enable the derivative business functions within Investment division. This hands-on position is located in Boston and offers the opportunity to liaise with front-office, risk-management, middle-office and back-office global clients, onshore and offshore development teams and vendors. Overview:

Reporting to the Manager of IT Infrastructure Security and Market Data, this position is part of the IT Infrastructure group. The Market Data Manager has primary responsibility for the management of Market Data Systems (MDS) activities. This role interfaces with various business units within company to insure that market data needs are being met, including the IT Security Engineer for MDS infrastructure support and IT Operations for support of MDS data movement. Additionally, contract management, audit and billing support fall within this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
