Defined Contributions Project Manager

Contract with potential hire at the end of 6 months
Client is a well established financial firm South of Boston

Client has established an enterprise wide project management practice to deliver beneficial business projects successfully. The group manages projects using a methodology framework based on industry best practices in support of our corporate goals and those of our clients.

The team manages over 50 active projects and is currently looking to expand its capacity, skills, and experience. The Project Management team is currently seeking 2-3 qualified Project Managers to manage projects.

Job responsibilities will include:

Effective management and delivery of the project’s deliverables
Successful project initiation with related artifacts
Developing schedule and resource staffing plans
Influencing skills to maneuver roadblocks as needed
Managing work and communicating status
Risk tracking, mitigation, and communication of options
Managing change control and defining trade-offs for decisions
Effective relationships with sponsors and collaboration with team members
Applying a standardized tool set and methodology
Producing quality project artifacts as defined by the methodology
Coordination of testing activities
Demonstrating initiative and problem solving skills
We have multiple projects to staff with a Project Manager, and thus we are looking for people with one or more of the following experience and background:

· Transfer Agent Operations or related

· Defined Contributions/Retirement

Candidates should have team management experience and be comfortable matrix managing medium to large project teams. Strong communication and presentation skills are absolutely required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to be detail-oriented, and the ability to execute complex assignments within the established time frames and quality standards.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years prior project management experience. Candidates with a PMP designation will be given strong consideration. These positions will be located in the South Shore.

Summit FT Developer

Contract or contract to perm position in Boston

Ideal candidate will have recent experience with Summit.

Summit Developers required to assist client with their current iniatives.


Analysis and development of systems that interface Summit FT with other trade capture applications and in-house applications using XML, XSLT and C/C++
Implement routines to price trades captured in Summit FT with specific pricing models
Developing new utilities to generate feed for other risk and P&L systems and enrichment of trades in middle-office
Developing reports for traders, audit reporting and cash flow data for web reporting
Developing interfaces between Summit FT and other back office systems like settlements, accounting, documentation and swift engine
Manage projects end-to-end involving implementation of exotic products
Technical analysis of business requirements
Estimation of project completion for minor and major enhancements; and implementation of new products in Summit FT
Issue resolution, facilitating, mentoring, supplemental assistance

Summit BA

Contract or contract to perm position in Boston

Ideal candidate will have recent experience with Summit.

Business analyst experienced in trade processing, with sound knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives, is required to work within the technology department to perform detailed analysis of requirements, liaise with the Derivatives and Fixed Income business groups and external parties. The candidate will demonstrate experience in working with the front, middle and back office to define detailed requirements and working alongside the technical resources to build technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be able to discuss business requirements in detail exhibiting a good understanding of financial products and business controls. The BA will own the relationship with the users. This will include front office (trading and sales), market and credit risk, middle office, operations and other external third party system owners. The candidate will be equally at ease discussing business and technical issues, and will be able to lead solution discovery.

. Directs efforts cross-functionally and uses good understanding of business systems, financial industry, and system development lifecycle methodology(ies) to support complex projects through their life cycle, with the emphasis on the analysis stage
. Directs the gathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings, interviewing users, and researching and resolving issues.
. Makes judgments on gathered analysis information, using flowcharting and other methodologies. May be consulted in the analysis of user interface design efforts.
. Leads the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes; consults as subject matter expert on impact of systems changes to business processes.
. Leads and reviews draft detailed requirements and related documentation.
. Serves as advocate for business area regarding system needs and requests with various groups.
. Monitors project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation.
. Demonstrates understanding of the impact of problems on the organization as a whole, and facilitate collaboration to achieve resolutions.
. Use a broad array of communication tools to inform, persuade, influence, direct and facilitate communication within project teams and between Business and Technical teams.
. Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
. In addition to users, communicates with developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
. Acts as a liaison between users, developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
. May direct special projects, e.g., conducting research, collecting and providing requested data, etc.
. Model and analyze business processes and assist the business in identifying ways to maximize operational efficiencies, quality and compliance.
. Identify compile, analyze and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs.
Qualifications
. Candidate must have extensive working knowledge of Summit, Calypso, Murex, Front Areana or other industry leading software solution for Fixed Income derivatives trading and processing.
. Candidates with derivatives (Swaps, Libor Basis products, Options on Futures, Government Securities, Repos and Currency Forwards) experiences will be given special consideration.
. Candidates with working knowledge of Summit FT, Wall Street, and Fenics systems would be considered over other candidates . Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent. MBA or CFA a plus
. At least 8+ years of related professional financial services and project management experience
