Enterprise Architect

Client is a $150 billion investment management firm in Boston.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Leader, the Enterprise Architecture ensures the viability, interoperability and reliability of technology by translating business requirements and business strategy into effective Enterprise solutions. This individual is also responsible for articulating the architectural vision, conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches, validating the architecture against business requirements, guide and support IT solutions, design and mentor development teams on methodologies, processes and guidelines.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated application of architecture strategies, standards, processes, and tools in their solution designs

• Review and approve project deliverables to ensure that they are architecturally sound and achieve as great a degree of fit with the desired architectures as possible.
• Aggressively identify enterprise IT solution/technology initiatives that are of value. Collaborate with other architects and teams in execution of the initiatives
• Facilitate the availability of relevant technologies and tools to development teams in a timely manner, subject to technology availability
• Facilitate cross team collaboration.

Must have the ability to contribute to future vision and strategy by conducting research and proof of concepts, maintaining a broad knowledge of new technical tools and trends, and envisioning how those tools could be used in improving the business processes

Mandatory requirements:
• 10+ years in an IT Solutions Architecture role with heavy emphasis in .Net / Java (ideally in Financial sector)

Project Management / Business Analysis Manager – Investment Systems

Client is a $150 billion investment management firm in Boston.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Reporting to the Head of Investment Systems, the Project Management and Business Analysis Manager will oversee the business analysis and project management activities associated with several Investment Systems applications. The primary focus of this position will be with activities supporting the development of the Eagle PACE data warehouse. In addition, this position will oversee projects associated with the development and enhancement of several other investment control applications that support the asset management process. Functionally, this organization will perform detailed analysis and the generation of business requirements to support any Investment Systems changes required by the business. Business Systems Analyst - Financial Applications

The candidate will participate at various levels in all technology related initiatives from inception to implementation and support. Release Engineer, Release Management

This is a full time, permanent position.

POSITION PROFILE
The Release Engineer works under the guidance of the Release Manager. Release Engineer is responsible for software builds, installation procedures, and releases standards. Release Engineer is responsible for source code control and change tracking systems and works closely with a quality assurance team to ensure final version is up to organizational standards while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position may lead and direct the work of others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement and maintain the Change Management infrastructure including license management, tool/environment troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery
• Design and implement improvements to Change Management practices such as automation (e.g. triggers for code review), integration with other development tools such as defect tracking or IDE software
• Perform and troubleshoot software builds. Improve and streamline build and build processes using change and build management tools and edits to related XML and parameters files
• Track and package all components of the software release that comprise a full working system as the end product. Based in Boston, this position will require some domestic and international travel. This is a full time position. Occasional night and weekend hours are required for scheduled system maintenance and upgrades.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conceives, designs, and oversees the implementation of global enterprise network architecture and design.
• Network design project deliverables including testing, analysis, and documentation.
• Ensures that the technical architecture of delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Ensures the technical accuracy of all designs within the scope of the existing production network infrastructure.
• Ensures that implementation plans are complete and well executed.
• Deploys, configures, and maintains the health of the network infrastructure.
• Responsible for the day to day sustaining activities for the global enterprise network.
• Monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting and resolution of issues and escalating to the appropriate technical resources to resolve issues.
• Provides advanced escalation support for all networking issues
• Analyzes and maintains performance data to ensure optimal network utilization.
• Assists in the development, management, and enforcement of company's network security policy.
• Develops solutions for secure network access.
• Ensures that all network designs adhere to industry best practices for ensuring secured network computing.
• Works with IT Security Personnel to develop and implement security policies affecting network service.
• Develops, maintains, and executes documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Develops user policy and procedures regarding use of network resources.
• Complies with company's change management control process.
• Provides advanced support and guidance to other network engineers.
• Acts as project/technical lead on key network deliverables
• Manages all relationships with vendors, SLAs, performance and cost


TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with all Cisco switches, including Catalyst 65XX, 45XX, 37XX, 95XX series core switches and routers.
• Cisco – Switching, Routing, SSLVPN, VTP, IPD/IDS, PIX/ASA, QoS, IPSEC, 802.11x, HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, LMS, ACS, BGP, ACLs, STP, RSTP, VLANs, PoE
• Some familiarity with other networking manufacturers including Extreme Networks – Extreme Ware, XOS (Summit, Alpine and Black Diamond)
• Wireless AP deployment, configuration, and support (Aruba)
• Configuration of switch ports to include appropriate application of configurations and VLAN assignment
• Cisco IOS configuration and administration
• Support and maintain WAN links including T1s, DS3s, Sonet Rings, and MPLS
• Familiar with SSL and IPSec VPN configuration
• Checkpoint Firewall Administration in Global Multi Site Environment
• Experience in designing and implementing security architectures (i.e. firewalls, access-lists, IDS, proxy, content filtering and delivery systems).
• Extensive network configuration and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, routing, SNMP, site-to-site VPN's, dial-up VPN's, VLAN's, Wireless)
• Bandwidth Management and Event Correlation allowing for proactive troubleshooting
• Ability to develop project plans and execute to ensure timely implementation of network services.
• Manage and troubleshoot VPN implementations/connections.
• Cisco SAN Switching not required but a plus
• Experience in Load Balancing and Intelligent DNS including for Disaster Recovery
• Provide third level technical support for all LAN/WAN related operations
• Ability to provide 24/7 coverage on a paid on-call rotational basis
• ITIL Certification a plus – Including concepts surrounding Change and Problem management
• Financial industry experience, including familiarity with market vendor applications a plus.
• Experience with Intrusion Prevention/Intrusion Detection appliances
• Experience with Solar Winds suite.
• Experience with WAN VOIP and Softphones (Avaya)
• Experience with Network Maintenance tools – Kiwi, Syslog, Wireshark, SSH, TFTP, Net Flow
• Design, implement, and manage new DMZ/WAN Distribution Layer
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, WINS, RADIUS, AD, LDAP
• Experience implementing network security initiatives and policies
• Experience with trading network systems – Business to Business Routers
• Experience with F5 products - GTM, 3DNS


Additional Experience in the following Technologies not required but definite PLUS


• Experience supporting Citrix MetaFrame / Presentation Server 4.0 and 4.5
• Knowledge and / or configuration of Citrix products including Citrix Access Gateway, NetScaler, SSL VPN and solutions Backup and Restore Technologies
• Active Directory / Exchange Administration/ Blackberry Enterprise Server
• VMware - Hands on experience with mid to large scale VMware environments (VMware ESX 2.5.x, 3.0.x and VirtualCenter 1.x and 2.0.x) in development and production settings, including implementing, troubleshooting, managing, configuring, and patching. (VDI, LabManager)
