Reporting to the Manager of Investment Systems Project Management, the PACE Business Analyst will work within the Investment Systems Organization for projects related to the Eagle Investment Systems PACE data warehousing system. This individual will be responsible for working with the business community to create business requirement documents as well as the development group to convey, clarify, and/or enhance the stated requirements. This position will also be responsible for project management of PACE related initiatives. In addition, this individual will have responsibility for QA plans and ensuring that the final deliverables are accepted in a timely fashion. The position puts the candidate in contact will all areas of the organization and will be required to work closely with other members of the project team(s). This individual will keep the project team informed on the status of assigned tasks. This position is based in Boston, MA.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with the business community to establish functional requirements for the warehouse, including data loading, data exports, data storage requirements, and reporting requirements
• Work as part of a team of in-house staff and outside consultants to implement the required changes
• Write business analysis documents to be used by our development staff
• Project management of PACE related initiatives
• Provide timely updates on progress of assigned tasks to project manager
• Coordinate/execute QA test plans before releasing the product for user testing
• Assist in production release of new functionality and provide production support
• Document user defined enhancement requests, product gaps, and product bugs
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Mandatory requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in technology discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in an IT organization
• 3-5 years experience in a business analyst role
• 3+ years experience in the financial services industry
Skills:
• 5 years experience with data warehousing concepts
• 5 years experience with software development or implementation projects
• 5 years experience in the Financial Services sector required, experience in investment management preferred
• Experience writing Business Requirement Documents and QA Test Plans required
• Experience with Eagle Investment Systems – PACE, Security Reference Manager (SRM), and PACE Reporting, preferred
• Extremely strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work directly with the business community
• Must possess strong project management skills
• Must be detail oriented with very strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little or no supervision
